Bus/ external transportation
The airport manages nine bus routes that departure from different sites of Metro Manila, eight of those cross the Epifanio de Los Santos Avenue (EDSA), the limited-access highway around Manila, and only one route goes through the Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), a network of roads and bridges that together create a route that connects the city sites with the National Capital Region of Philippines.
The Airport bus may be taken from Terminal 3 near the Coupon Taxi queue. Buses run every 15-20 minutes and have a flat fare of PHP 100.00 (around $1.88) for a one-way ticket, the ticket may be purchased right at the bus on board to the driver.

Jeepney/ external transportation
While being slower, less comfortable way of transportation, it is one of the cheapest one and is available 24/7. All four terminals have an access to jeepney way of transportation, however, the one shall keep in mind that it goes through the following routes: Baclaran-MIA, Nichols-Vito Cruz-EDSA-Tramo, and Domestic Airport-Baclaran-South Pier. However, that way of transportation is not recommended if the one carries the luggage. The fee for jeepney is PHP 8 ($0.17) for first 4 kilometers and PHP 1 ($0.019) for every additional kilometer above that, however, there are 20% discounts available for students.
Rail/ external transportation
The airport is connected with the Manila downtown by two metro stations: Baclaran station of the Manila LRT Line 1 and Nichols station of the Philippine National Railways. The opening hours are from 05:00 to 21:30 on weekends and from 05:00 to 21:00 during the week and on holidays.

The best-recommended route is to the UBE Express Grand Prix Route Terminal 3 and to get to the Baclaran Station, from there the one may decide whether to go further by rail or to take a taxi.
Taxi / external transportation
That is truly one of the most comfortable means of transportation from the airport to the Manila downtown, however, not the fastest one, as the trip may take from 20 up to 60 minutes depending from the traffic on the road.
The airport provides two types of taxi: Coupon Taxi (white ones with the blue squares) or Yellow Taxi (yellow colored cars). The difference between them is that the first one works by charging a specific fee at the end of the ride, the second one is a normal metered taxi, meaning that the fee will rise with the distance covered. Both of those taxis may be found at the Departure Hall of each terminal.
While using the Coupon Taxi the one shall get the coupon with the indicated destination and fixed price for it, that coupon should be kept till the end of the ride. Approximate fee for the Coupon taxi may vary from minimum PHP 440.00 (around $8.28) up to PHP 740.00 (around $13.92). To get to Manila downtown the fee for the taxi can reach around PHP 1250 ($23.52).
While taking the Yellow Taxi the one shall be ready to pay approximately 50% more than for the usual taxi as the fee would be of PHP 70 ($1.32) plus an additional PHP 4-4.50 ($0.075-0.085) for every additional 250 meters. However, Yellow taxis are provided only by the companies allowed to operate on the territory of an airport, as Royal HM Taxi Services and Taksi Berde Transit Corp.
